There are many reasons for that, but to make it short, the most common ones are wrong strategy, wrong ad creative, or the wrong targeting.

I have read many articles about Facebook ads and I have seen many different strategies being suggested. The problem is that each one of them has something good to say about its ‘strategic’ value, but a lot of them are just a waste of time and money.

Let’s imagine you have a Facebook page about dogs and one day you decided to create an ad campaign. The question is, “What should you use as an ad headline?”One person will say “write something funny or crazy” another person will say “write something helpful or informative”. So which one is the right choice?

In my opinion, the only thing that matters here is to split test all of your ad creativity and find out what works best for you! This means: write many different headlines, create many different images and messages, and finally split test them on Facebook. This definitely sounds very simple and easy, but unfortunately, it isn’t that easy when it comes to practice. The reason why is because you need a lot of time in order to create many different ad creatives.

This is where most marketers give up because they find it very hard to spend so much time creating ads. So what should you do in order to overcome this obstacle?

You don’t need to create 100s of different images! With my method, you will be able to create dozens in only a couple of minutes! You will see how it works in just a minute.

The next obstacle is choosing the right target audience. This is another mistake that most marketers make, but this mistake can be easily avoided if you follow what I’m going to teach you in just a few seconds.

So let’s go over these 3 main obstacles one by one in order to get a better idea about how they can be overcome!

1) Split Test All Of Your Ad Creatives with My Method

First of all, before you split test your ads on Facebook, you need to create them. You don’t have to spend time creating 100s of different ad creatives because I will show you a simple method that will make this process quick and painless.

In addition, you will find out which type of image or video works the best for your target audience. For example: if most people watch your videos without sound – don’t use videos at all… I’m sure you know what I mean by now, but to make it short… if something performs badly – forget about it; instead focus on something that works great!

The advantage of this method is that you will be able to create dozens of different ads in only a couple of minutes and you won’t need to spend time creating different ad creatives.

2) Split Test Your Target Audience Using My Method

If your target audience consists of both men and women, divide them into 2 groups: male users and female users. In order to do that you need to place Facebook’s built-in Demographics section into one group (male) and the other group (female).

In most cases, the CTR from each specific demographic group will vary between 0% – 5%. There is no point in targeting specific people with your ads if their CTR is very low. You should dig deeper and find out:
What interests do they have?

If you can’t get this information from Facebook’s Demographics section, create 5 different ad sets with the following preferences for each group: “People who like X”, “People who live in X” and so on… until you get enough data. If something works – put more money into it! If something performs badly – forget about it; instead focus on something that works great again!

Now when you know your target audience’s characteristics very well, split test it by placing one ad campaign in one demographic group and another in a different demographic. For example: if women seem to prefer photo ads then don’t bother with any other types of ads because they would perform very poorly when compared to a photo ad.

This way you can easily decide which type of ads work best for your target audience and thus save a lot of money!

3) Split Test Your Ads on Facebook Using My Method

Split testing is one of the most important things you need to know about if you want to succeed as an online marketer! Why? Because it will show you what works best for your product/service, what doesn’t work at all, and so on… this kind of information is very valuable because it will save you a lot of time and make more money.

One split test would consist out of 3 different ad campaigns: Ad Campaign A (control), Ad Campaign B, and Ad Campaign C; where we want to find out which one is the best. Now, I will show you how to choose the right winner in a split test as quickly as possible!

In order to do that, we need to start with choosing which ad type works best for our target audience and product. For example: if your target audience consists of both men and women don’t bother running video ads because they would perform very poorly when compared to photo ads.

Now let’s say Facebook has a new feature coming up called “Videos Ads” – what you could do is simply launch a campaign with only video ads within Advert Campaign A, another campaign with only photo ads within Advert Campaign B, and the last campaign with different types of video ads within Advert Campaign C.

After that, you need to launch the 3 campaigns and leave them for exactly 1 week (7 days). Then we will choose which campaign performs best with a very simple method: the most affordable campaign wins!

Just like this: Advert Campaigns A and B are $100/day, while Advert Campaign C is $300/day.

If we spend more money on running ads in one ad set than what another ad set is spending per day… then we know for sure that it is not converting as well as the cheaper ad type. So don’t bother wasting your time and money on those types of ads. Keep testing until you find out which one works best for your target audience and product.

4) Make Money With Facebook Once You Split Test Your Ads Well

Just like I mentioned earlier in the article, you need to split test your ads before launching them on Facebook in order to find out which ad type works best for your product/service; and when it comes to making money with Facebook ads – I’ve got good news! If you choose the right ad type (photo or video) then you will make more money when compared to choosing any other type of ad!

Now, you’re probably wondering how much exactly can be made by targeting specific people with highly engaging photo or video ads? It depends on many factors such as: what country they live in (for example the CTR in Brazil is much higher than in India), what age they are (the CTR is usually higher for those who are 25-34 as opposed to those who are 18-24), the ad type itself, and so on…

For example, I recently tested a video ad where we spent about $700/day running it on Facebook. 7 days later we ended up making more than $8200 from that tiny budget! We chose this country because their click rate was very high and since this product targeted both men and women you can see how well split testing would work for our campaign.
